Tina Dealwis

  Writer/Editor
Tina’s love affair with the written word began at early age. She began as a voracious reader, and then at age 10 created and edited her first publication—a children’s newspaper called Just for Kids, which was featured in the Toronto Sun newspaper. Since then, Tina knew that she would one day be a professional writer, and over the years has created, written for, and edited various publications.

Tina has been a professional editor and writer since 1993. She has a broad range of experience with a variety of publications. As a former in-house editor at CCH Canadian Limited, Tina was directly involved in the copy editing and production for legal newsletters, books, loose leaf, CD/DVD, and Internet products, including the flagship Canadian Income Tax Act With Regulations: Annotated.

Since 2000, she has enhanced her credentials as a freelance writer/editor, by copy editing, writing, and proofreading for a wide assortment of legal, financial, business, medical, arts, sports and recreation, history, and romance publications.

In 2009 and 2010, Tina was a contributing author to two editions of the children’s book Glowing Hearts: From Play to Podium. Published by DT Publishing, the Glowing Hearts books encourage, inspire, and motivate children with disabilities to become involved with sports.

An articulate, creative, and meticulous professional, Tina has a keen eye for detail, and an exemplary ability to deliver first-rate editorial content. Quality product delivery, combined with the highest standards for total customer satisfaction, is Tina’s key goal in all client dealings.

Tina is a member of the Editors’ Association of Canada and the Professional Writers’ Association of Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Journalism, and a Certificate in Publishing, both from Ryerson University in Toronto. Tina is dedicated to continuing education. She has taken courses in public relations, creative writing, and medical terminology, and regularly attends editing and writing workshops and seminars.
